See, the thing is? You don't feel so bad at home because you can rest and take care of yourself, etc. Whereas if you went to work you'd get sicker.

Trust me, I nearly killed myself with "I'm sure I can manage it..." once. Yes, I managed to keep going. I also got steadily sicker until I nearly asphyxiated on my own bronchitis, saw my doctor, and got a reaction of: "... here is some medicine, go to bed, stay there for a week OR ELSE." And it took me weeks to get over the bronchitis and months and months to get over the damage to my respiratory system.

Whereas now, I get sick, I react with: "oh noes I am sick". I stay warm, I drink plenty of fluids, eat nutritiously, and rest. And I get better quite quickly, and don't nearly die of a cold.
