So, the latest show I got out from Quickflix was "Bleak House", the BBC adaptation of the Dickens novel. It's pretty good so far, apart from the rather distracting "OMGTENSION" music stings at random, really not very tense moments.
Anyway, going in I knew Gillian Anderson was in it, which I found mildly amusing but I know she's been going a lot of period dramas recently. But the more I watch the more surreal the casting becomes. I uh, have a feeling the casting director of a certain BBC sf show was kind of lazy.

And this is all in the first four episodes. The first three are pretty major characters too.
For those who are wondering what I'm talking about, apart from Scully from X-files we have: the protagonist of the Dr Who episode Blink, one of the main cast of Torchwood, the title character of the Torchwood episode "Adam", and the Dr Who companion from season four. It's quite distracting! (especially the scene with Donna and Owen having tea. Heh)
Looking up these images I was also reminded that the guy who played Adam was also David Tennants character's sidekick in "Blackpool". And I learned how to make screenshots, albeit badly :)
