See the embarrassing thing for me is that looking at that post, and the one before, my first thought was "Hmm, I guess my first real 'fandom' was the Lord of the Rings books, what with that elvish dictionary I made in yr 11" and I was happy enough with that...until the repressed memories of being a Trekkie came back :)
