fandom managed to run out or silence most all who diverged from the uncritical love viewpoint.

I run into this a lot in my 'fandoms'. I mean I quite enjoy Supernatural and Smallville but at the same time, they are incredibly flawed* shows, that are great fun to make fun of.. And that's fine to me, but god forbid I comment that the plotline is terrible and cliched in a fandom circle, or be thrown out.

The entire reason my partner reads my comics is so he can make fun of them. And that's okay too, because it leads to many hilarious debates about what's good and what's not in them... and I do like made to think past 'omg this is awesome' that seems to be all the fandom groups encourage.

*My tactful way of saying its a terrible terrible tv show but it has hot guys so I enjoy it. These aren't the only two, but the ones that stick in my mind as they've had the angriest reactions. :P
