As someone who grew up in a working-class/bogan area (whether or not my family counts as working class ourselves is a complicated question) this is just...too surreal.
But um..no, not a race. Arguably as prejudiced against as some prejudiced-against ethnic groups, but still not the same thing. Trying to argue why makes me realise I don't have a completely solid definition of "race", but having seen how they both play out and the relationship between the two (ie I have grown up around people of every combination of white/not-white and bogan/not-bogan) I know they're not the same even if I can't put it properly into words.
