dreamwidth invite code request post

Afaict I'm going to get dreamwidth invite codes every now and then for the next two weeks, so if anyone wants an account comment and you'll go in the queue (and yes, I have one now, so first person to ask gets an account)

If you don't know what dreamwidth is you don't want an account enough to ask for one :)

EDIT: No more for now, I'll get back to you all when I have some more.
EDIT 2: Regardless of commenting order, Friends > vague acquaintances not on my flist > complete strangers

I used to resist new stuff like this but after resisting lj for ages before falling madly in love with it have decided to sign up to any that look interesting but make no commitment to stick with them if they don't grab me.

But yes, the logistics may get complicated, and paradoxically be easier with three: my lj, my lj-mirror-on-dreamwidth (I like the idea of a frequently updated backup), and a separate dreamwidth blog for dreamwidth specific stuff.

You are currently second in line! If you're impatient, sign up for an openID account and validate your email address, that apparently often gets you one at random.

I can't think of a tactful way to ask this, but: do I know you? I'm inclined to give invites to people I know first. If I do know you I apologise for not realising.

That said, even if I don't know you you don't look like a spammer or anything, so if I run out of friends to give invites too will happily give you one :)

Yeah, me either, I was just lucky elaran had a spare invite, but that's how she got her account so it does happen sometimes. If nothing else I get the feeling they'll be handing out invite codes like candy come April 30th.
