I'm not sure what to do with your footnote. Unfortunately there are a lot of trans guys who are really horribly sexist. If you're uncomfortable positing this character as trans because you are not (which I'm assuming is what you meant), that's one thing. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't make sense as trans, if the only problem is that he's really sexist.
