I feel out of my depth in the superhero one because I think I am watching completely different movies from these people. Or I guess more accurately, I am watching for different things. I don't want to watch a thing about how horrible people are and how much it'd actually suck if someone had the inclination to go fight "evil" with nobody to report to; I already know that just from looking at the news. I want to have a two-hour break from reality where I can have a power fantasy about awesome people being awesome and making the world a better place. Or at least beating the Bad Guys. (Also, witty banter.)

Which is probably why I hated TDK. (Well, that, and the heaping dollops of genderfail.)
