Hmmm... do you think you might find it easier to get feedback on work while it was still in the concept stage--in other words, talking with someone about plot points, characterization and potential pitfalls before you've actually started writing? Because that works for me sometimes. Or would that just keep you from wanting or being able to write in the first place?

NB: you can actually make drafts on AO3, though it's a bit of a kludge:
