I think you would find it easier if you let go of the "white/not white" POV and think in terms of a) much smaller units - anything from countries to regions such as "NW Mediterranean" or "NE Subcontinent", and b) how they relate to their neighbours or some other random smaller group. So for example, people from Laos or Vietnam will have ____ chins compared to Malaysians, or how Baltic Slavs have _____ noses compared to people from Kyrgyzstan. Then note that people from Kerala will have _____ skin compared to people from Bangladesh, or how the Irish have _____ hair compared to the Bretons. Yes, it takes a lot more paying of attention, and a hell lot more practice, but it is definitely worth it because skintones and facial features come together in a huge variety of combinations - just look at people from Mali compared to people from Nigeria compares to people from Botswana, etc. Respect the regional specifics instead of focusing on huge and much more easily stereotyped ideas of race, and the rest will follow.
