I've fallen into (and will continue to fall into) these traps myself. I don't know that I've put forth specific examples of the ugliness stated here, but I can be very hyperfocused on one particular kind of oppression, to the exclusion of others. Alternatively, it can take me a moment to realise how worthwhile something is if it lacks representation of the things I'm hyperfocused on - like, if a POC produced media item is ableist, I'll think 'well that's just-' before I have to sort of reel myself back in and be like 'okay, hang on.' It's more like a huge foghorn in my head. The 'not everything is or should ever be about ME' foghorn, lol.

But geez you are encountering some seriously *ugly* arguments, especially the example that prompted it. Christ.
