Sorry, I realised after I posted that it sounded like I was thinking it was crazy-wierd, which I don't. I'm just always curious to know what makes people decide to take the path less travelled.
Personally I'm quite happy to stop being an Ambrose, even if only in name (I like my dads family, but..*ahem*) and like the idea of me, Cam, and our kids all having the same surname, and I have a real soft spot for celtic etc names :) But I can certainly see why other women would keep their name, it's one of those holdovers from our mysogynistic past thats pretty creepy from certain angles.
