Today has been awesome. In summary:

Watched disk 2 of Dr Who Season 3. Swooned over David Tennant. Was amused by Harry Potter references. Shipped Ten/Martha with a side of Ten/Shakespeare just because it's amusing.

Drove to Hillaries, not expecting to see anyone due to lack of RSVPs. See [livejournal.com profile] mandragora2003 and Mr [livejournal.com profile] mandragora2003(*)! Have very pleasant (if expensive) lunch, mm all you can eat salmon and chocolate pudding :) Drive home. Do not die! Or kill anyone!

Use GIMP to edit animate hat icon as per advice. (Not sure it's an improvement, but it was certainly fun to make)

Rewatch Veronica Mars Season One disk one, am reminded how totally awesome the show was before it got crap.

Watch latest "Northanger Abbey" on ABC, it is awesome. They upped the satire and sex just enough for a modern audience, she really felt like a real mills-and-boon reading teenager.

And now, sleep.

(*)Any suggestions on a better non identifying term accepted (not Dr [livejournal.com profile] mandragora2003 though, that would just be confusing)

You could try something like "the surgeon"? Or some sort of reference to the fact that no-one usually sees him in the hours of daylight (or night, for that matter).

Lunch was fun! Pity we had to nick off early for the movie (which then sold out *while we were in the queue*). Looking forwards to next weekend :)

Heh. You make him sound like a horror villain :)

That sucks about the movie. There's a push in a lot of places to get everyone to buy tickets online, which I can see leading to more of that sort of thing.

Yeah, online ticketing seems to be the way to go but, unfortunately, it's about $3 extra per ticket here to buy over the 'net. Everytime EE & I want to see a movie we have to arrive several hours early or buy online to get tickets. The fact that we see movies on their opening weekend probably contributes though. What were you guys seeing?

As for 'the surgeon' (makes him like a character from house) Perhaps you could call him your future husband? Or perhaps Dr. D? (which makes him sound like Dr. Doom...) oh dear, I see what sqbr means...

Afaict it's actually cheaper to book online here. (and it was Indiana Jones)

oh dear, I see what sqbr means...

Exactly! :)
