I've been reading TV Tropes (no link because I am kind :)) and on the "Zeerust" (outdated ideas of the future from the past) page they had a link to Dippin' Dots, "the icecream of the future".

OMG! I have never seen anything like that before! It truly is the icecream of the future!!

Also Geeky baked goods (make sure to click the links in the comments)

It's still around. Now there are more brands of it. I don't think they call it the ice cream of the future though. Usually you find it at amusement parks or convention centers.

Is it nice?

*keeps it in mind for if I ever visit Korea*

It's not unpleasant. It's not creamy and satisfying, it's its own thing. it's very cold. I don't ever crave it, but I've had it twice for the novelty.

Yeah, I can see it not hitting the "icecream" spot. But I crave novelty also! Of course, I can't eat much milk fat, so unless they had a low-fat version I'd be in trouble.

Dippin' Dots, Inc. v. Frosty Bites Distribution has got to be one of the silliest sounding case names ever.

I love the Sierpinski Cookies :-)

Aren't they awesome? I'm feeling inspired by the sierpinksi triangle earrings linked from that post myself, they last longer :)

I've had this type of ice cream - it was dispensed from a vending machine. It didn't actually taste very much like ice cream, maybe the offspring of an ice cream and shell less frozen m&m cross breeding program...

That sounds..interesting!

OMG! That's the stuff I saw in Melbourne a few years ago. Mum promised we could go back and get some later, but we never did. I also dreamt about them some time last week, making your post neatly juxtaposed with the one about dreams :S

I totally want to eat some while wearing a jet pack, now.
