Oh God I knew this day would come.
I know a bunch of people involved in OTW, so I feel a certain vicarious affection for the project. When An Archive of Our own went live I had a look and wrote some feedback. I didn't see myself ever wanting an account since I didn't write fanfic, but it seemed like a nice place to read it.
But apparently, sending feedback put me on a list, and I was invited to be in the next, larger beta of new accounts. This sounded like fun, so I joined up, but once I'd put in my information and made a bookmark I ran out of things I could test..without posting some fanfic.
So...I decided to write some. Nothing serious, just chuck something together without much thought to quality. And I started writing..and got inspired...and now it's three chapters long.
It's not beta-d yet (
nico_wolfwood agreed to do it, but is busy right now), and definitely not finished, but I decided I should post this now since I'll feel silly posting a "I write fanfic now" post when I've been doing it for ages. So without further ado:
Wedding is destiny, and hanging likewise: Pride and Prejudice, currently gen but assuming I get that far and don't change my mind will eventually be Mary Bennet/Anne de Bourgh femslash (I decided not to get people's hopes up given that there's like one other P&P femslash story out there)
Posting it was fairly painless though I did hit some small hurdles which I gave feedback on. Now that I've tested out doing multiple chapters etc I won't post any more until it's been beta-d.
Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. You can all stop laughing at me now.

Oh, gods, you really do mean Tim Drake/Bart Allen, don't you?
Well, colour me curiously horrified. <.<;
Re: *is distracted*
Damn straight? What's wrong with that?
They're both so cute when they are being sweet and not overly angsty. Its better then the Tim/Kon stuff you find everywhere.
Hm. Actually I might have to point out that by slash I mean the romantic pairings for these two, more than the lets have hours of hardcore porn sexy times that can be written.
OH GOD I AM JUSTIFYING FANFIC HOW DID THIS HAPPEN. (I swore I would never go here, that it was just reading for laughs!) I BLAME EXAMS.
Re: *is distracted*
Nothing, actually.

Okay, now *that* squicks me. But seriously, I wouldn't have a problem with good Tim/Bart fic, but I can't imagine Tim/Kon being good, ever.
I mean, Duh! Kon has a canon love interest, and Cassie is certainly not Tim.
Re: *is distracted*
(Bart/Kon, though - at least they're both the same age! *ducks, runs*)
Re: *is distracted*
Ew. No, to me Kon/Cassie is the OTP. Ever. And if anyone is saying otherwise, I'll be over in the corner blocking my ears and singing loudly so I can't hear it.
