New page of ACOS! Could be better, don't care, I have So Much Stuff I need to catch up on after the move and this seemed the easiest. (Like, my birthday is coming up. Should do something about that)

Spent an hour and half waiting for a doctor to tell me it's a virus and I just need to rest, but on the plus side she told me to take paracetamol for my fever and whoa did it make a diference. I always underestimate the effect of aspirin and paracetamol on colds etc since they don't tend to help that much with actual pain.

The fine folk at [livejournal.com profile] the_rec_room gave me a really good list of lots of gen(*) fanfic which has definitely helped me while away my convolescence. Which reminds me(**) I have a post bubbling away in my brain about the divisions between fannish self and non fannish self, and anonymity and all that but it's well beyond my brain's fuzzy current state.

(*)Not sexually explicit, usually not romantic either. Rare stuff.
(**)Because I always feel a little weird mentioning fanfic/vids here. Not that you're not all nerds too :)

FROMED ONE THE MUCH HATED 1 (SO IT SEEMS) AND NO I WON'T GO AWAY!

I went to school with mandogor2003, sqbr, ness, gelignite, & Alex. we were all great friend once and apararent I stuffed up, although til this day I don't know how. But back....I don't know when one of the girls told me she was suicidal and I tried to help her by saying something about a snowball being a similar analogy to an onion, lettuce...that has many layers. I think that's the reason for her upset today and I am truely sorry (she knows who she is). Out of those 4 girls, 1 of them I still keep in regular contact, although an unfortunate thing happened to her a few years back....no I don't live in the same state as her but she know's I'll always be there for her..xx HB
To sqbr I am trying but already I've stuffed up as u know (I'm sorry)
So I'm rude, a hypocrite and was it rascist someone said? you are right I have to be careful what I say but I did say that I wasn't a couceller. a writter yes I am, but who are you to believe you don't knw mw.....it appears that this so called annon writter that said I was a stalker blah blah....who even knew my name....yea he and I are like THAT.
you know I was freaking out just a little last night reading the response from all you people but then I thought No....this is exactly what I wanted to happen but this is even bettter cause all you sort of know me......HOT DIGGERTY

xx KA

ps. and try to refrain from using my real name.....thank you in advance

Hmm. You probably haven't had a chance to check your email yet, but I have sent you an email about this whole thing.

Anyway, while I realise you couldn't have been sure I was reading your livejournal (I am, at least for the moment), a better way to draw my attention is to say "I've updated my livejournal and would like you to read it", maybe adding a link to the entry if you really want. You have to stop cutting and pasting stuff and posting it to people's livejournals, I know you're new to lj but comments are supposed to be relevant to the entry they're posted on, and if they're not then you should at least have the politeness to say "I'm sorry to post something so random, but I couldn't see any other way to contact you and wanted to let you know that...", or at the very least keep them short.

Sorry if this comes accross as rude, but it's for your own good. This sort of stuff really alienates people, and it would be a pity if you missed out on the chance to get something positive out of livejournal because noone told you when you were breaking the rules.

Are the bubbles in the second panel supposed to overlap, or is that Don't Care?

Yes, he's talking over the top of her, literally :)

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2006-11-09 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww, that kookyaquarian deleted her post. I'm disappointed; it was getting interesting.

(Anonymous) 2006-11-09 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
kookyaquaraian had to take it down becoause she was getting too much hate mail I think

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2006-11-09 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
What hate mail?

(Anonymous) 2006-11-10 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
do u want her to put it back up?
alias_sqbr: the symbol pi on a pretty background (Default)

[personal profile] alias_sqbr 2006-11-10 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
But you can delete comments or not allow commenting at all, no need to delete the entries. I think the hate mail (such as it was) was caused by the spamming anyway, not the entries themselves.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2006-11-10 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
Why yes I do.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2006-11-10 09:48 am (UTC)(link)
Someone with that IP posted her email address on my journal, and I'm wondering whether this is an incitation to hate mail.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2006-11-10 09:49 am (UTC)(link)
Also, deleted second last comment. Please reply to this one.

Hmm..are you saying I'm trying to incite hatemail? Eh. Anyway, this is the way I see things.

First off, for context there was a Big Badness involving KA many years back, and as a result of that she and I stopped being friends and she earned the emnity of my then boyfriend, now fiance, Cam. I didn't want to go into past details but it seems the only way for this to make any sense, and since my attempts to keep my lj drama free seem to be doomed anyway...

So, we have:
Me (as alias_sqbr): wishes KA well though our relationship is strained by past and current behaviour
Anonymous 1: Cam, my fiance. Has no lj and has a bad habit of not signing his posts. Dislikes KA. Wrote a nasty comment expressing his annoyance at her, then another to make his identity clearer.
Anonymous 2 (on my lj): Is interested in what you think of KA.
Anonymous 3 (on your lj): Wants you to email KA

I'm pretty sure Anon 2 and 3 are KA. I've known her for like 11 years, and it certainly sounds like her.

Now I would assume that Anon 1 (Cam) and I would have the same IP, since we're in the same house on the same network.

Are you saying that Anon 1 (Cam) = Anon 2? In which case...hmm. Or just that Anon 2= Anon 3? In which case.. duh :) If Anon 3 wanted hatemail, they wouldn't have given her email address to one of the few people who didn't seem to mind being spammed.

Oops. Is the one I replied to ok? It looks ok. Interestingly, I didn't get notified of the contents of your mysterious deleted comment, just the fact that it was deleted. Unless the one I replied to is it, in which case why is it there? Ah, too confusing for me.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2006-11-10 12:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not saying that you're trying to incite hatemail, no.

I would simply like you to confirm that Anon 2 is Anon 3. Confirmation that they are both KA would also be good.

It would probably also be quite easy for you to confirm that Anon 1 is not Anon 3. Would you please do that?

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2006-11-10 12:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Aha. The comment was along the lines of "Someone posted from 58.106.76.8 anonymously on my journal. Does this mean anything to you; can you identify that person?"

Hence possibly your suspicions of my accusing you of incitement.

GUH! This comment keep getting eaten! Not previewing this time, so apologies for any typos.

I do not know how to check IPs.

Cam says he is not Anons 2 or 3, I believe him.

Livejournal is annoying, sometimes.

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2006-11-10 01:20 pm (UTC)(link)
That's fine.

Okay. If you choose that IPs be recorded by posters, they will be recorded and kept for checking. Otherwise no problem.

I'll believe KA if she claims to be 2 or 3.

I see. Thank you for your help.

'Scool. I realised after posting that your reaction was perfectly reasonable. It seemed obvious to me who she was, but I've known her a heck of a lot longer.

Also, I was discussing this with Cam and he was like: "So you had an amusing comment about how you have a computer science degree but don't know how IPs work and livejournal ate it?" :)

[identity profile] volandum.livejournal.com 2006-11-10 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Now that is amusing.

mystery solved

annon 2 & 3 were both from KA...with much appologies...I'll leave u all alone now. good bye

Getting back to the topic of the original post

Actually, I think that I'm really enjoying the second chapter of ACOS. (I like the interaction between the characters). You're getting good at computer drawing, too!

Thanks! I'm really glad to hear that, I was feeling a little paranoid that it was getting a bit talking headish (and there's more to come. But then...plot! Some time mid 07 :)) And yes, I'm definitely getting into my stride with the ol' tablet. I don't have to obsessively trace the characters to stay consistent (well, as consistent as I get) any more either. Huzzah for practice!
