Just did my Sciguide interview. It was nice to do an interview where I was absurdly overqualified and guaranteed to get the position, even if it doesn't pay :) Anyway, if anyone else is interested (I know there's at least two of you) applications should go in before the end of next week to get your interview done in time for the next training.

Last night I was inspired to script some A.C.O.S. which would have been even better if it wasn't right at the end. I'm tempted to be like [livejournal.com profile] penchaft and just release stuff when it's done regardless of chronology but that would spoil my (very few and kind of cruddy) surprises :)

Chronology is for THE WEAK! ;)

I tend to just write what pops into my head, especially if it's a new idea - I'm terrible at keeping notes, so looking back on the scrips I've written is often the only way I remember things. Like that new world scrip, where apparently Thyme freaks out with dead people! WHO KNEW!

Yeah, I should start writing notes.

Surprises? Is Dora actually A MAN?

Or a TOM, rather!

You've figured it out! But not only is she Tom(*), it's actually that Teo, Vorn and Kira are in fact all aspects of his subconscious fighting it out, and at the end you'll think Teo is the only one left but then Kira will jump up and stab her and she'll be the only one left and Tom will go on a KILLING SPREE.

The end.

Crap, there goes the surprise.

Oh well, I guess I have to move onto that one about parasitic aliens. Or "The Atttack of the Giant Space Potato", perhaps it's time has finally come.

(*)Which Tom you ask? Why, all of them!

I've just started a major writing project, to be released in bits and pieces as it gets done (or maybe I won't release it at all online and instead send it to various publishers)...

Don't hoild your breath though, it's going to be a while before I put out anything.

According to other more writerly folk, if you do post stuff online which you intend to publish later it's best to friendslock it etc for copywrite reasons or something. Though webcomics seem to do alright so eh.

Anyway, I await your masterful narrative! Does it have cats in space? Cos if it does you are so ripping me off.

Yeah, [livejournal.com profile] dishlexicman did a course on how to get published and discovered that publishers won't be interested in pretty much anything he'd written (at that point) because he'd put it all online. Most of the money is to be had if you're the first to publish something, and putting it online counts as the first publication.

I'm planning to only putting a few stories online (once they're written, of course).

It could have cats in space, but if so they'll be normal cats who don't speak or wear clothes.
