Traditionally, you're supposed to keep the second tier of your wedding cake and eat it at your one year anniversary. But we totally can't be bothered keeping it in the freezer that long.
Also: since we had a such a small wedding there were a bunch of people we like who couldn't come. To make up for it we're having another party to eat the cake, and this time you're all invited!

What: Wedding Cake Party
Where: Our house (ask if you don't know)
When: From 1pm till about 5pm, Sunday 20th May
Who: Anyone who knows and likes us! People who were at the wedding are allowed too :)
What to bring: You don't have to, but if you're likely to get peckish then snacky things & drinks might be nice. We won't be putting on that much of a spread.

A better invite will come later but this is just so's people know it's coming. It doesn't clash with anything too much does it?

It's pretty hard for "Afternoon" to clash, especially when it could mean any afternoon up until that 1 year anniversary :P

Bah! (Ok, fixed now :) )

I may just be missing this, but which afternoon in particular were you meaning? O_o Unless you mean this afternoon.

All afternoons!

... but specifically Sunday the 20th.

Pfft. I said the exact time would be decided later, what do you want from me?

Oh FINE, ok, it's on the 20th. But I'm feeling very straightjacketed by your demand for specifics.

:)

Is this what you meant by "interesting comment discussions" this morning?

umm. I think that day is fine, although I have the feeling that I've arranged to be in Maylands area already for an hour or so, so it may depend on time. However, if you tell me that it is fruit cake, you will jump the social engagements hierarchy...

Heh, sorry, it's chocolate cake. I will understand if you can thus not make it :)

Sunday 20th is Oliver's campaign week, which involves Olly, Chas, Dave, Rob Slaughter, Steph, Aaron and me. You could ask him to cancel for that week, or start late, or something, though.

When does it start normally?

It's not like a big important party, we just want to get rid of our cake :) If you guys want to cancel we'll be very flattered but it's cool if you can't come.

about 1pm.

Ah. Well, I'll understand if you guys can't make it. Especially you, for whom gluteny cake holds little appeal :)

I'm so there (if I can be).
Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 11:03 am (UTC)
Munchkins are definitely invited, we're relying on your increased cake devouring abilities :)
Monday, May 7th, 2007 11:40 am (UTC)
I'll come if I can :)
Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 11:03 am (UTC)
Cool!
Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 12:37 am (UTC)
I can't see any barriers to me being able to attend :-)
Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 11:23 am (UTC)
If an unscalable wall suddenly appears between you and our party, I'll forgive you for not coming :)
Tuesday, May 8th, 2007 01:17 am (UTC)
I will likely attend if I can get a ride from someone, which seems likely.

Huzzah! This is the advantage of having parties at my house, for once I don't need to worry about lifts myself, just kicking people out :)
