So, I woke up this morning feeling very much under the weather due to Too Much Caffiene yesterday (there was free chocolate cake, and I am weak) I once again turned on the wrong burner to make porridge, but luckily this time all that was on the other burner was a pot filled with water and not a plastic container filled with oats (that was fun) The thought of all the housework I wanted to get done was very disheartening but after some "R.O.D.: The TV" and with hot chocolate (using the last of the powder, a good omen!) on the way I got to the point of feeling motivated to do some gardening.

And then spilled just-boiled hot chocolate all over myself and the kitchen. Meaning, amongst other things, walking halfway across the house to put on new clothes before realising that I had just passed a bunch of open, street-facing windows with no pants on. Oops.

After cleaning the kitchen and feeling sorry myself I motivated myself to do some gardneing after all: and set off the car alarm. Which I don't have the keys for. On the plus side, it turns out that if you wait long enough it turns off by itself.

So, yes. The plan for the rest of the day is sitting in bed reading fanfic and trying very hard not to break anything. So far, going pretty well.

*stops self from making bread despite craving it, god knows what would happen. Last time I felt this way I forgot the kneading attachment and it just sat there whirring for ten minutes before I noticed and had to attach it through the sticky mess of flour and water*

(*)an anime where pretty much every character is a female book geek. Some of them have paper related super powers. I am totally putting the next disk on my Quikflix queue :)

You mean the OAV? I saw it a few years ago and actually didn't like it as much as I expected to. The literary references felt rather obvious and contrived, what with the whole "Evil mutant versions of writers" thing. I must admit it's gotten a bit mixed up with "Steamboy" in my head, with their thrilling conclusions in a big retro flying fortress with lots of levers and all :) That said some bits of it were cool.

Apparently Nenene (main character of tv show) was in it briefly as a 13 yr old but I don't remember her.

Yes, I meant the OAV. The thing is that knowledge of the OAVs is necessary to a sense of oddness at why the main character of the OAVs is missing.

It probably would have helped if I had realised earlier that it was the same character, not just someone who looked similar :)
