Redbubble
Had a nice chat with someone from work today(*), and she told me about a site called Redbubble which lets artists display and sell prints/tshirts etc of their work, kind of a cross between Deviantart and Cafepress but aimed at a higher class of creator. They're based in Australia so the postage is cheaper than all these american sites and apparently the quality of the shirts etc is pretty good.
Not sure I'll use it myself (what with me only being middle class creatively :)) but thought it might be of interest to some of you.
In return I intoduced her to Lois McMaster Bujold and Limayels Fantasy Rants so I think we're even :)
All in all today was a great day. There was morning tea for someone with a new baby, and then a nice chat with an unexpectedly nerdy and creative coworker (really, the nerd quotient at my work rivals Scitech, it's great!), and the actual work went well too.
(*)Will ask her tommorrow if she doesn't mind me linking to her page

... I may possibly be thinking of putting some of my photographs up. Because I have an unrealistically high opinion of my photography.

Yeah, I've had my extensions removed for the moment. They were getting a little tired, and I figured my scalp around the attachment points could do with a rest for a week or so. I'll likely get some replacements put in next Wednesday, though I'm not sure how many or what placement yet.

(Anonymous) 2007-09-28 06:36 am (UTC)(link)I've seen the prints and cards from the Bubble first-hand, and they're pretty good quality. Apparently they're launching a new t-shirt printer in early October, and when they do I'm planning to purchase a t-shirt to see what the quality is like. If it doesn't turn out completely munted I shall bring it into work for all to see!
