I feel like being the person who professes not to care on this one, but I guess it is pretty sad. I've never liked his books much though, so ...

As Pratchett himself has been saying, it's not like he's going to die / become demented yet. He thinks he's got two or three novels still in him.

Yeah, ok, so I'm not as big a fan as I used to be myself. I do have many happy memories from childhood and adolescence.

As Pratchett himself has been saying, it's not like he's going to die / become demented yet. He thinks he's got two or three novels still in him.

Mmm, true, but I've seen the way people degenerate with alzheimer's, it's not a very nice way to go, especially for a writer. (Admittedly, there are very few nice ways to die)

Truly an embuggerance. Drat! He's one of my two favourite authors! And his books rely on wit, so Alzheimers has the potential to really mess things up for him.
