So there have finally been enough stupid things lj has done, and the resulting minor migrations to IJ(*), that I've decided to get one myself: http://sqbr.insanejournal.com/

I have absolutely no intention of using it for anything but commenting and maybe creating a friends list if anyone I know moves over there, but at least I get to be sqbr :) Really I just wanted to see what the fuss was about. I do not like it very much so far.

(*)Mostly by people I don't really care about who get linked on metafandom, but sometimes I want to leave comments and now I can :)

I was wondering whether Tom & Tina's wedding registry was still up at http://gifts.distantwisdom.net -- I can't seem to reach it. We arrived in Perth a couple of days ago still needing to get them something. A list of the stuff that we shouldn't buy would be handy :-)

Heh. See, I only just got this...because our internet was down. But now it's back up :) (Fault caused by a guy "fixing" our phone cable after it got broken last time. Still, HOPEFULLY this won't happen again)
