Latest Hapless, on my continuing denial about Photoshop being the only program to use for comics.

Here's some more images, this time using Photobooth's(*) "mirror" function:

Have you tried using the GIMP?

Have you used both? Do you think the GIMP compares well?

I use the GIMP at home [for finishing touches on hand drawn illustration and general icon foolery], it seems to offer everything that Photoshop does that I can see, but I also find it annoyingly complex to use.

Then comics and graphic design people *swear by* PS so much, I wonder if I'm missing something about it's user friendliness rather than functions per se?

I had, but that was before I mostly switched back to inking in Real Pen, so the lack of tablet support was more of an issue. I may give it a go for the next page of ACOS since it seems to do everything else ok.

Very pretty, I like the effects you got. :)

Photoshop, like everything else, is just a tool. Use what ever achieves the look you want. Coreldraw is a vector program but I still use it in addition to PS because I like the way you can manipulate type with it.

Thanks!

Manipulating type you say? Hmmmmm....(Must stop discovering new and interesting creative pursuits)
