Yeah, sorry about that, I angsted about it a bit but decided it's really not that spoilery.

To get across how much of an insignificant event Jack dying is: I had to skim through a detailed summary of each episode to remind myself if it happened (well, except for the odd character based episode where noone is in any physical danger at any point, and even some of those have flashbacks)

It is a bit of a spoiler for for the first episode (since at that point, unless you've been spoiled by say watching Dr Who, you think Jack's just an ordinary guy), but it's not a major part of the plot.
