Blog Against Disabism Day: I will only slow you down

I know it's well past the date here but hey, it's still the 1st somewhere in the world :)

Anyway, I was feeling bad about not having any ideas for Blog Against Disablism Day, and not even being in the mood for surfing links and making a recs post (other people's recs welcome!) when it struck me I did make a somewhat disability related post today: I made a trope on TV Tropes.

Thus: I will Only Slow You Down, about the person who gets injured and says "Go on ahead, I will only slow you down".
This grew out of a post I made ages ago and has been sitting half finished in the TV Tropes draft posts list, waiting for me to get back to it, for like a year.

Prompts

So, I've been feeling bad about not doing all the Fanart prompts: not skinny youngish white people but I think at this point it's time to admit defeat. Apologies to those whose prompts were left unfilled.

I have a New prompts post for me to practice interesting poses, if people are interested, and if you're quick and can make your old prompt fit I'm happy to give it a go (one of the issues with many of the ones left was I couldn't find any decent reference images and ran out of inspiration to do the extra work required to work without them)

Disability in Speculative Fiction: Monsters, mutants and muggles

This is a somewhat expanded version of the presentation I made about Disability in Science fiction.

Note: Don't take my word for any of this! I'm still figuring this stuff out. Corrections and other input very much welcome!

I've reached a point where I Just Can't Think About It Any More, I may edit again later. Make sure to check to out the comments for other people's additions.

The fantasy examples are very much tacked on, I'm sure there's fantasy specific tropes I'm missing, plus links to the relevant Disability Tropes. Mental illness and cognitive impairments are underrepresented too.
