For those watching American tv *cough*: You should watch heroes if you have any affection for superhero comics at all. You know how most shows with a plot arc either pad it out with lots of episodic stories, or are soap operas whose short sighted cliffhangers ruin any attempts at continuity? Well Heroes is basically the first sort, minus any filler whatsoever. Admittedly it could (like Lost, imo) turn out to have been the second sort all along but it certainly holds togther pretty well so far. You do have to put up with some rather hackneyed dialogue, eespecially from Mohinder, who voiceovers the start of each episode with a little homily about "evolution", in the dodgy Xmen sense. He makes up for this by being really cute ( imo :) )
For those I went to highschool with: Mr Rennie won Science communicator of the year!!. For the museum he runs!!! (In case you're wondering, he was
mandragora2003 and I's yr 11 physics teacher, and a real inspiration) I can't bveleieve I kept forgetting to tell people this, he actually has a little plaque on the floor at work which I see every day. We totally have to visit his museum (he has a museum!!)
In random my life news, I didn't realise I had to work today until the manager rang me at 9:30 wondering where I was. Oops. I was looking forward to having the day off too, oh well.
