New ACOS, with DRAMA!! (well,by my standards anyway) Unfortunately minus much care in the linework thanks to my tablet not having drivers for Leopard.

If it's hot and dusty, wouldn't they have things on their heads?

Heh, I've been waiting for this question for like 2 years :) I realised back around chapter One Page 18 that they would wear face masks or something for the dust, and angsted about it for a bit then decided that lack of realism was better than covering their faces and thus making them expressionless and indistinguishable.

As for hats, well, they didn't know it was going to be hot. (And cats in hats look really silly :))

When you get shading back, you could just make a partly see-through mesh veil thing?

Ugh, I was still awake at 5am. I need to get over my irrational fear of sleeping tablets.

Also I think if I start thinking too much about practical problems I'll get too depressed about how completely silly a lot of it is and give up.

Don't sleeping tablets give you weird side effects? If so it sounds like a perfectly rational basis for fear to me.

Well, I bought some natural sleeping pill thingoes yesterday (they smell like ass), and although they neither made me hyperactive nor a zombie, they also didn't get me to sleep before 3am. Probably have to give them a few days to work!

Yeah, I've been pondering valerian myself. I remember someone on my flist saying something about it, I just can't remember if it was anything good
