I finally got around to transferring the dates from my pda to iCal (I used to rely on the calender at work). And I realised I FORGOT MY OWN SISTERS BIRTHDAY. Her twenty-first birthday. And it wasn't even like yesterday, it was last week.

So, crap. Stupid brain fuzz stopping me from being able to think clearly. I knew there was something I was forgetting.

(At least all the other people's whose stuff I've missed recently can feel a bit less specifically neglected now. And I remembered Oliver's party in time!)

New york times article: the evidence is that Senator Obama is facing what scholars have dubbed racism without racists. Via [livejournal.com profile] nico_wolfwood, who sends me lots of articles (to my gmail account, which I never check!)

I found this interesting, but a little surreal, since I've been hanging out with people who have specifically chosen to use a broader definition of "racism" which includes this much more common and persnickety sort. (Also my main reaction is "Duh", but hey :))

And yes, this is a sign that I'm feeling smart enough to deal with comments on tricky topics again (and notice that I've forgotten birthdays etc), yay my brain! I make no promises as to feeling this smart by the time anyone replies...

Oh, and I rang my family, and her party isn't for a week and a bit. And is at Annalakshmi, where I can't eat any of the food, but on the plus side means I won't feel so bad if I end up having mine somewhere with no vegetarian options :)

[livejournal.com profile] flyingblogspot and [livejournal.com profile] infamyanonymous both posted about personality type things just now, which got me thinking. I did the Myers Briggs test and as happened last time was totally unimpressed with the result (me, an overbearing leader? It is to laugh. The only bit I'm 100% happy with is the T) But this reminded me of a personality classification they were talking about on the Psychology 101 podcast, and after some digging I found it: The Big 5.

So according to that test, I am...
Cut since you plausibly don't care. And for suspense :) )
