sqbr: "Creative genius" with an arrow pointing to a sketch of me (genius!)

So, since, as I thought might be the case, this post was too hard and confusing, here is an easier version (with the same answers, so the comments to the old version might be useful)

Every clue contains a pun on, or reference to, the username of the person it's about. Some of you have made this very difficult for me but I have persevered.

1) I'm still glad you took time out of your life as a supervillain in London to help me out when we were facilitators on the Brights Forum together.

2) I don't know that I made much of an impression, but it was fun meeting you in person (one more time than I have (1)!)

3)I was glad to hear that you and (2)'s dogs joint holiday went well. How did you get them to travel such a long way without going crazy: A bus? A car? ....?

4) Ah, I'm sure you weren't that mean to (3) at school (now sadly lost in the far-off recesses of time...)

5) I am really glad you introduced me to (4), even if you weren't actually the first to do so. Also that you didn't explode when you found out you weren't a bridesmaid.

6) Huh. I see you've friended (5), I didn't know you guys knew each other! (Yeah, ok, so I probably did, but hey) Also, I have to say I really admire your writing ability, even if you do use it to prove the old "mightier than the sword" adage on many occasions.

7) You a fun local community, it's a pity (6) can't make it.

8) I'm glad you bugged me into joining (7). It amuses me how much less spiky and crazy your hair is in person than it is in your comics (or lj namesake)

9) I haven't figured out who you are yet, but the fact you've friended (8) is a major clue. The whole violent marsupial thing should be helping, but isn't ringing any bells...

EDIT: Answers are all in the comments, congrats to [livejournal.com profile] ataxi, [livejournal.com profile] linstar, [livejournal.com profile] capnoblivious, [livejournal.com profile] infamyanonymous and [livejournal.com profile] wintal for being the first to get various ones (with some repetition from when the first person to get it right was just guessing :))

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bantha_fodder, this interesting post on what actually happens with the curse in Pirates of the Carribean: World's End. With a link to this sweet little story that is exactly how I would like to think things went after the movie. *probable spoilers in comments*

..also, I uh, just watched the rest of the first disk of Gilmore girls and they, uh..didn't suck. So maybe everyone was right and it does get better. In my defense I was goaded into posting before I had a chance to get a more informed opinion! Also I still think some apects are problematic, just not as irredeemably so.

Though the change from "I don't like it, with these exceptions" to "I like some of it but have very high standards" isn't a huge paradigm shift.

Warning: Sleepy and grumpy, will almost certainly revise this after I've had time to realise which bits of it are stoopid. Sometimes you just have to let your ideas go out into the world knowing they'll almost certainly come back battered and changed. And now, I justify my patheticness )

I have been Very Self-Sacrificing and left fangirling early even though it meant I missed the end of Season 3 double episode finale :( Can whoever owns it lend me the disk? Still, I got [livejournal.com profile] sonnlich chocolate (made by, not of) which I shall enjoy on the morrow, and got to see people other than my co-workers. Ones I like at that!

Also (and I am amused that [livejournal.com profile] theducks was the first to notice) I got my ears pierced. Yet another thing I vowed never to do bites the dust. Hoping they don't get too infected (I'm terrible at looking after cuts etc, and have sensitive skin, one of the main reasons I resisted) Still, earrings! I may investigate things I can hang off the loops tomorrow. So far the main drawback has been patchy sleep as I roll on my side, go "ow", try sleeping on my back, drift off, roll over etc.

I really need to make an effort to spend time with my friends, I noticed myself feeling sad when people at work weren't extra friendly(*), which is what I do when I don't see my friends enough. I'm free next Saturday, is anyone else? (Yes, I may try organising beyond an offhand lj remark, though then again I may not) There's the easter picnic, but by then I'll be trying to go off the choccy bandwagon, and you never know who'll turn up.
Pav: I will happily buy you lunch given your approaching debt-the-size-of-a-car-lessness :)

Ear piercing is a funny thing. When I was a kid I objected to it as this barbaric custom that we accepted out of inertia when we should view it with as much distaste and as lip-plates or ritual scarification (also, I was a big sook about pain). My attitude now is kind of similar, except that I don't see anything wrong with wierd "barbaric" body mods if they make you happy and don't do any major harm. Also it's easily reversible, and makes my head look prettier.

(*)On the plus side they're always at least fairly friendly.
